In celebration of Mother’s Day, Little Believer’s Academy shares and reminds all of us some of the greatest mothers in the Bible. These women have changed the world and have continued inspiring us.
What makes a mother amazing? Is it her cooking? How about the way she looks after all of her children, care for her husband and still have the time and energy to work? We do admit that mothers are astonishing in their own ways just as these Biblical women are:
- Eve – the first mother
Being a mom is definitely hard. But what about being the first mother of all mankind? We get to make sound decisions and safe course of actions because of the guidance of other mothers. But in Eve’s case, there is no other teacher who can show her the way of motherhood.
Furthermore, she is the first mother who grieved for the loss of her son, Abel. And this loss was even made possible because of her other son, Cain. Imagine if we were put in her place. What would be our reaction? What would we do?
- Sarah – Mother of Isaac
There are moms all over the world who are waiting to become a mother. But these mothers are not as pressured as Sarah. God promised Abraham that he will become the father of all nations but how will he become one when his wife is not capable of giving him a child?
No one would ever blame you if you ask the help of another woman to bear the child your husband really wants. Despite all that, she remained to be strong throughout her life and at last, she was given a son even if she is wrinkly and old.
- Jochebed – Mother of Aaron, Miriam, and Moses
Imagine you are in the middle of chaos. And all of the sudden, you heard that the pharaoh is killing all the male infants of your people. You, being a mother of a male infant, are willing to do everything for the survival of your child.
She made a clever trick in order to get past the turmoil. She put her son in a basket and let the currents of the river decide his fate. God had been so kind to her that He led the basket to the pharaoh’s daughter who adopted the child. The child was safe but for the consequence of never being by his side is to be called his mother.
Our Daycare Center in North Carolina salutes all mothers not just in the Bible but in the contemporary world as well. Unlike the Biblical mothers, you now can ask the help of our Daycare Center in Garner, NC in raising children who obey the will of the Father.
